PhD Conservation Biology

I completed my PhD Between two worlds: The implications of existing between land and sea for the conservation of mangrove ecosystems in January 2018 with the Cook lab research group and the Research Ecology group at Monash University.

My research has focused on ecosystems at the interface between land and sea, with particular emphasis on the importance of mangrove forests for terrestrial vertebrate richness and intertidal ecosystem protection.

Have a look at my publications that show that we need to recognize mangroves as both terrestrial and marine communities, paired with clear governance structures to ensure adequate management and protection.
